BEWARE: they charge your credit card TWICE and never give you a receipt. You think they are swiping twice because maybe the card didn't read the first time, but when you go home, you can see they charged your card TWICE (sometimes more if they swiped it a couple more times). You have to call the movie theatre to have them fix it and also call your bank. It's a extreme hassle when you're already paying $10.50 for one show.
The matinee special price is only for shows at 2pm (which is usually only 2 movies out of the 20 they show).
They have high school kids who probably flunked basic math that work at the concession stands, so be careful there too. Example, I ordered one scoop of chocolate and one scoop of mint chip and specifically said they are seperate. One African American high school aged worker charged me $4.25 and I asked her if that was right because I was getting two separate scoops in two seperate cups. She assured me it was and then went on to try and put them together in one cone! I pointed out that I wanted them seperate and one scoop each and she tried to convince me that I wanted them in the same cone to save money. Has she ever tried to get ice cream for picky little kids before? Anyway, I told her no and she said she had to charge me more (just as I had originally thought). The board said $4.25 for two scoops and $3 for one scoop. She wanted to charge me another $4.25. I pointed out the error and she said that two $3 scoops costs the same as two $4.25 scoops. I pointed out to her that two $3 scoops equal $6 while two $4.25 scoops equaled $8.50. She didn't get it. I finally had to get a manager who understood that $8.50 does not equal $6. She understood I didn't want to waste ice cream and get two double scoops versus two single scoops.
They need to hire people with basic math skills and who aren't as stupid as to charge people twice, unless Centry at Tanforan is trying to rip people off.
BEWARE. Don't go if you don't want to lose money.
