Akira Tana’s Secret Agent Band Plays 007
With his characteristic humor riding on top of his astounding musicianship, drummer Akira Tana presents his Hammond organ-powered groove band in tribute to the great spy soundtracks and crime show themes of the Cold War era. Renowned for his drumming with Jim Hall, Art Farmer, Sonny Rollins, Rufus Reid, and many other top jazz artists, Akria is a longtime faculty member at the Stanford Jazz Workshop. Tonight he’s joined by Akiko Tsuruga on Hammond B-3 and Annie Sellick on vocals.
