"Kuumbwa Jazz Center is a venerable Santa Cruz institution, recognized in the international arts community for its weekly concert presentations and educational youth programs. Monday nights feature major name jazz artists, with emerging artists on Thursday nights as part of "Cookin' at Kuumbwa" a jazz & dinner series. Of its educational programs, Kuumbwa is proud of the long-running Summer Jazz Camp, and also proud of the acclaimed Kuumbwa Jazz Honor Band, an ensemble showcasing some of the best high school musicians in the Santa Cruz area."
