Dutoit leads Berlioz's Te Deum
Charles Dutoit returns to conduct two works which showcase the superb SFS Chorus. Poulenc composed his Stabat Mater, which depicts Mary's grieving during the crucifixion of Jesus, as an outlet for his own grief following the death of a friend. Berlioz breathlessly wrote that the finale of his colossal Te Deum "surpasses all the enormities I have ever been guilty of before."
