One of music’s most distinctive voices, David Pack has won acclaim worldwide for both his insightful solo work and as the charismatic lead vocalist—and guitarist—for the celebrated progressive pop-rock group Ambrosia. As a songwriter, Pack’s compositions took the band to the top of the charts repeatedly, and have delivered hits for a diverse group of artists. As a record producer, he’s worked with many of the biggest names in music, his collective works selling over 30 million units.

David makes… Show more a rare solo appearance in Bay Area at Yoshi's performing material from his collective works from Ambrosia, his solo albums including "Secret of Movin On" (Concord, 2006) featuring guest stars Journey's Steve Perry, Heart's Ann Wilson, Eagles' Timothy Schmidt, that put David back on American radio with two top 5 hits, and new songs from his forthcoming "Napa Crossroads" project- a collaboration with wineries including Silver Oak, Far Niente, Pride, and others.

His diverse catalogue as a songwriter and guest singer include writing hit songs like #1 gold single "All I Need" for Quincy Jones artist Jack Wagner/General Hospital in the late 80's; his duet with Bette Midler in the film "Beaches"; "The Key To You" with David Benoit; A guitar duet with Chet Atkins in the HBO Special Chet Atkins & Friends; Michael McDonald's "Our Love" & "Prove Me Wrong" from Taylor Hackford's film "White Nights". He wrote and produced Wynonna Judd's theme song, "The Wyld Unknown" in late 90's, and his most meaningful project: The Songs of West Side Story tribute to the late Leonard Bernstein, his friend and music mentor--RIAA certified gold, with stars ranging from Aretha Franklin & the late Selena, to Chick Corea, Little Richard, Phil Collins, and Steve Vai.

David also conducts and music-directs global events: He music-directed both of President Clinton's Inaugurations and does charity work for organizations such as Barbra Streisand & Elton John's Aids Project L.A., and last year's California Aids Walk Greek Theatre Concert.
