Mayor Gavin Newsom’s 2008 Family Festival combines performances, family activities, and over 100 parent resources from city departments, community-based organizations, and cultural institutions that provide services for children and families. Programs on two stages feature a multi-cultural array of talented children and youth. Families enjoy a day of free fun including carousel rides, a climbing wall, jump houses, lawn games, and yoga. Fifteen arts institutions, including Zeum, SFMoMA, and Exploratorium, help kids create hands-on projects
