MOMIX is a company of dancer illusionists under the direction of Moses Pendleton which has been celebrated for its ability to conjure up a world of surrealistic images using props, light, shadow, humor and the human body.
Pendleton co-founded Pilobolus in 1971. In 1980, Pendleton began to work outside of Pilobolus when he choreographed the closing ceremonies for the Winter Olympics at Lake Placid. He also performed his solo “Momix” at the Games, which became the name for the company he founded the following year.
