Jay Leno

Jay Leno follows in the footsteps of legendary NBC late-night hosts Steve Allen, Jack Paar and Johnny Carson and is the host of the Emmy Award-winning and top-rated “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” Having begun his 16th year this past May, Leno has created his own unique late-night style with a combination of humour, talk and entertainment each weeknight. Prior to becoming host of “Tonight,” Leno, who was born in New Rochelle, New York and was raised in Andover, Massachusetts, had been the exclusive guest host on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” since September, 1987. He first appeared as a guest on the show in March, 1977 and made numerous additional appearances after that and as well on NBC’s former show “Late Night with David Letterman.” Leno announced recently that he will be stepping aside as host of "The Tonight Show," and that NBC will be moving Conan O'Brien into the vacant slot.
