400 Miles to Freedom

Avishai Mekonen, the co-director of this heart-wrenching documentary, was just a 10 year-old boy in 1984 when his family left Ethiopia for Sudan from where they hoped to be flown to Israel. Instead, he was kidnapped by child traffickers in the teeming Sudanese refugee camp. This is a moving and powerful story about identity and personal dignity, as well as the ongoing tragedy of human trafficking. English/Amharic/Hebrew w/ English subtitles.
