Traveling around the world, Maher examines the tenets of Christianity, Judaism and Islam and raises questions about homosexuality, proof of Christ's existence, Jewish Sabbath laws, violent Muslim extremists.

Maher's documentary is a fast-paced, humorous look at some of the conflicts and outright absurdities of religious faith in the the modern world. The audience during the screening my wife and I attended laughed frequently at what is, for the most part, a good natured film that allows Maher's subjects ample opportunity to respond to his questions. You might not agree with the film's premise. However, as Socrates once said "the unexamined life is not worth living" and many adults (those with and without religious faith) might enjoy this opportunity to "question" their personal beliefs for 101 minutes.
