Don't waste your money on this movie
This looks like a home made video and I can't believe it collected 41 million 1st week. I guess people just watched it out of curiosity. In short, the movie is horrible!
I just almost threw up during the movie and finally escaped out of the theater half way. What's an idiot way of scripting the movie based on the hand held camera. The screen is violently shaked and moved to imitate the camcorder in which I think they over did it. Even the most idiot user would not have shaked the camcorder that much. In the begining, the theater was full with many people could not find an open seat. 30 minutes into the movie, row after row of people started exiting the theater. My friends stayed until the end and said people threw out profanity when the movie ends. What the heck? how comes it rank #1 in the box office? Conspiracy from the movie critics? Bribery?
Keep your tickets for the class action law suit. This movie has made tons of people sick.
"Cloverfield" is the ultimate movie for people who don't feel a cataclysm has really happened until they can videotape it, upload it and stream it live to the rest of the world. (Full review)
