Downtown Montrose

Montrose Shopping Park Montrose is a French word meaning Mountain Rose, with a natural landscape adding to the country atmosphere. Shopping is a delight along tree-lined Honolulu Avenue, which is the main business district of Montrose consisting of a variety of restaurants, service shops, boutiques, department and clothing stores, catering to the needs of the local population. In 1968 local merchants formed the Montrose Shopping Park Association. The association is responsible for the promotion and publicity of the Montrose Shopping Park. The Montrose Shopping Park promotes an Arts and Crafts Festival each June and co-sponsors the Glendale-Montrose Christmas Parade with the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce and the City of Glendale. Shoppers get to know the local merchants and receive personal help in finding that "special item."
