"A captivating versatile group of dynamic musicians with a repertoire that not only represents the organ trio genre, but a full spectrum of jazz and blues"
Wayne de la Cruz - Hammond B-3
Paul Branin - Sax/ Guitar
Kendrick Freeman - Drums
Wayne De La Cruz began his musical endeavors at the age of 9 with a set of drums and playing along with records and the radio. While in Jr. High his father bought him a used vibraphone, he began playing it in the school jazz band. While in High school at the age of 14 he made the move
to the keyboard and began playing organ and piano. He settled on keyboards as his main instrument and got his first Hammond organ when he was 16.
The Hammond organ has always been his major interest and he has always tried to incorporate it in one way or another as much as possible. As a result of his passion to the art of the Hammond organ many have sought his expertise as sideman, leader, composer & arranger.
He’s performed with Maria Muldaur, Mary Wells, Mimi Fox, Danny Caron, Barry Finnerty, Shade, Terri Lynn Carrington, Allison Miller, Legion of Mary, Pamela Rose, Vernelle Anders, Denise Perrier, The Mills Bros, The Drifters, The Coasters.
Kendrick Freeman’s background includes both drumset and hand drums. This versatility has allowed him to play in diverse situations: in addition to straight ahead and Latin jazz experience, he's recorded with Nashville dobro ace Rob Ickes and worked with traditional drummers and
dancers from Haiti. Other collaborations include Pakistani singer Sukhawat Ali Khan, American roots guitarist David Jacobs-Strain, and world/folk artist Joe Craven.
Paul Branin began playing guitar at the age of 11 and sax at 21. His versatile ability on both instruments has allowed him to perform with Jimmy McGriff, Jack DeJonett, Levon Helm, Rick Danko, Orleans, Robbie DuPree, Max Weinburg, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Ben E. King.
