The festival began in 1962, a pure jazz event at Carthage Fairgrounds. It evolved into the largest rhythm and blues festival in the country, with a total economic impact of $25 million, according to to a 2000 report released by the Greater Cincinnati Center for Economic Education at the University of Cincinnati. It is more than just a concert, it's an event! It's a place for people-watch, eat, drink, shop, mingle, relax, soak in the rays, and of course hear some of the world's finest contemporary music. This year's lineup will be one the most diverse and electrifying in the Festival's history. The incredible combination of R&B, Hip-Hop and Jazz offers musical variety for every taste.
