England's Famed Choir of King's College, Cambridge
One of the world's premier choral groups, the Choir of King's College, Cambridge has performed for everyone from Queen Elizabeth I to Charles Darwin to Winston Churchill. That's quite a legacy to live up to, but today the boys' choir is more renowned than ever. Every Christmas Eve, millions of people around the world tune in to see them uphold the rich English choral tradition. In this Cal Performances concert, the choir will perform an eclectic program ranging from the 16th century (Byrd and Mundy) to the 19th (Ravel and Brahms) to the 20th (Whitlock). Before the concert, the Pacific Boychoir will perform two welcome pieces. Come see how good choral music can be at Zellerbach Hall in Berkeley.
